“Mountain Stone” one of the first songs I ever wrote and recorded ~~ not made for the public ~~ just made because she would *be.* There are no synths on this track ~~ all analogue voice and sound effects with vintage processing. All human. Here’s an excerpt from my companion book Modern M: Music for Time Travelers and the chapter dedicated to “Mountain Stone” (written a few months ago).

     The question of what waits above begs the query as to what lies beneath. Polar opposites can be part of a single whole. It’s not one or the other. Up is where we’re aiming, but that doesn’t mean we should abandon our foundations, yet we must resist becoming mired in them.
